Fashion is a well
known style or training, mainly in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body
or furniture. Fashion is a distinguishing and frequently constant tendency in
the style in which a person dresses. It is the prevailing styles in behavior
and the newest formations of textile designers. Because the more technical term
costume is regularly linked to the word "fashion", the use of the
sometime has been downgrade to special senses like fancy dress or masquerade
wear, while "fashion" mainly means clothing, covering the study of
it. Although aspects of fashion can be feminine or masculine, some movement is androgynous.
Clothing fashion
Early Western travelers, whether to Persia, Turkey, India, China,
would frequently declare on the nonappearance of change in fashion there. The
Japanese Shogun's secretary bragged (not totally definitely) to a Spanish tourist
in 1609 that Japanese clothing had not changed in over a thousand years.
However, there is sizable conformation in Ming China of quickly changing
fashions in Chinese clothing. Changes in costume quickly took place at times of
economic or social change, as happen in ancient Rome and the medieval Caliphate,
followed by a long period without vital changes. In 8th-century Moorish Spain,

including James Laver and Fernand Braudel, date the beginning of Western
fashion in clothing to the middle of the 14th century. The most dramatic early
change in fashion was an unexpected serious shortening and tightening of the
male over-garment from calf-length to hardly casing the bottom, sometimes
accompanied with stuffing in the chest to make it look biggest.
The pace of change accelerated greatly in the following
century, and women and men's fashion, mainly in the dressing and adorning of the
hair, became equally compounded. Art historians are therefore able to use
fashion with self possession and precision to date images, quickly to within
five years, especially in the case of images from the 15th century. Initially,
changes in fashion led to a fragmentation across the upper classes of Europe of
what had before been a very similar style of dressing and the subsequent
development of particular national styles.
